Plotavenue is a social media app that helps users find social places (hangouts) and events in their city.

The app provides an order management feature that helps users make orders of drinks or food by providing them with the hangout menu. Users can also book/reserve other services like; restaurant tables, venue for events e.t.c.

The app allows users to make payment of orders and reservations they make. Users can pay their bills by cash or use their mobile wallet (mostly an African solution). To use the mobile wallet ( MTNMobMoney or Airtel Money), the user has to give the app permission to read the incoming Mobile wallet SMS for the transaction ID. This helps the app to reconcile the payment in the server and give the users a seamless experience from finding hangouts, making orders and settling those orders all within the app.

It provides businesses like clubs, bars, taverns and alike with a platform to promote their establishments and connect with city dwellers.

It provides event organisers with a platform to reach their audiences by publishing their events for all in the city to view.

It has a chatting feature for those who enjoy instant messaging with others. Users can chat privately or engage in a group chat. Photo sharing is also possible through the chatting feature.
