  Ok Use kingroot or Supersu
  
  If you are using Supersu Download the Supersuzip then extract it and install it by help of TWRP(It's a custom recovery which is helpful for rooting and changing the software of your phone).

king root is not better than twrp
try twrp and super su ziped files for your phone

On kingroot's wedsite they stated you need Android 4.2.2 to 5.1 for root.Newer verisons does not work
