About Express Cup 2016

During the tournament, a grand motorcycle rally was organised dedicated to the national campaign "Beti Bachao-- Beti padhao". This rally was headed by women n girls. Hindustan Express Hindi Daily is pledged to stand with the Indian government in eradicating female foeticide from society. The way Hindustan Express motivated the people to support the national campaign, it seems that Hindustan Express has given wings to this national movement of Indian and State government of Beti Bachao - Beti padhao.

At the grand closing ceremony of Express Cup 2016,homage was paid to the departed players and former players were felicitated for their achievements. In the presence of 25000 spectators, Indian fast bowler Pankaj Singh was felicitated for being fourth Indian bowler to cross 400+ wickets mark in 1st class cricket and Ranji player Vineet Saxena was felicitated for being only cricket player in Rajasthan who've played 100 1st class matches . Pankaj Singh was honoured with momento and cheque of Rs. 5 Lakhs and Vineet Saxena was honoured with momento and Rs 1.5 Lakhs cheque. Our talented players Ravi Mohan Trivedi, Vivek Yadav, Rajesh Gupta, Rahul Chahar, Tanveer-ul-Haq, Amit Gautam, Tejinder Singh, Mohsin Khan, Dushyant Tyagi, Abhimanyu Rathi & Vinayak Tiwari made DCA Dholpur proud by their spectacular performance on international and nation levels.

Previous year, on the closing ceremony, ten women felicitated for their outstanding work in different fields were famous Kathak dancer Padma Bhushan Dr. Uma Sharma, Cabinet Minister in MP Govt. Smt. Maya Singh, Social worker Smt. Parvati Devi, Officer Smt. Sulekha Agrawal, National Ball Badminton Player Smt. Sarandhra Rajput, National Level Painter Dr. Neelu Sharma, Lt. Sgt. in NCC Ms. Vasundhra Chauhan, Smt. Kanupriya Kaushik in the field of Arts and culture and Smt. Deepti Agrawal from BARC. Padma Bhushan Dr. Uma Sharma was publicly felicitated by huge mass of Dholpur. It was a moment to cherish lifetime for every one witnessed the occasion.
