Not sure why this had a really bad score, so I'll write a small review to give a bit more information on the app as I've been using it for quite a long time now.
** It is mainly for headphones, wired or Bluetooth. It's not meant for the phones built-in speakers **
Wavelet is one of, if not the best audio app for headphones you can get for Android - the quality is great and doesn't just boost the gain like many of the supposed loudness/bass boosting apps do ***.
It has hundreds of auto-EQ profiles for various headphones, with a manual EQ for even more adjustment - it ranges from 75hz up to 19khz in 9 bands - if you need to tweak below 75hz, the bass tuner can sort that.
The bass tuner is great, it has a low-pass filter with gain adjustment to really tweak your bass, especially if your headphones aren't that bassy on their own. The manual EQ is great for dialling in the highs and mids etc.
(If you find the bass tuner a bit too hard to adjust, the bass boost section is a bit simpler to tweak)
The limiter has a lot of functionality as well - you can tweak the attack/release time, ratio, threshold and post-gain. The channel balance is great if your headphones are lopsided volume wise.
I haven't used the reverb or virtualizer as don't really like that in any music, but it's good for films or TV shows if you're watching them on your phone.
Verdict: If you find your headphones lack bass, mids or highs then Wavelet can sort all of that and more. The built-in auto-eq profiles and very good quality audio processing make this app one of the first to be installed if I get any new phone. It's well worth the money if you decide to pay for it and unlock the extra features. (I tend to use a lot of free apps from the Play store but Wavelet was one of the few I did spend money on. Combined with PowerAmp it's a very good combo for listening to music with the best quality possible.
*** If you find that it doesn't recognize the music player you prefer to use, and doesn't sound like it is working then it has a legacy option specifically for this problem. Their website has a list of players that it works on without legacy mode, and an FAQ for various settings.
