Salmo 129

Excellent Psalm!

1 I have often been oppressed since my youth; let Israel repeat it:

2 They have oppressed me many times since my youth, but they have never been able to overcome me.

3 They plowed my back and made long furrows.

4 The Lord is righteous! He freed me from the shackles of the wicked.

5 Let all who hate Zion turn back in shame.

6 Be like grass on the roof, which withers before it grows,

7 who does not fill the hands of the reaper or the arms of the one who makes the burdens.

8 And let no one passing by say, “Let the blessing of the Lord be upon you; we bless you in the name of the Lord!”
