Salmo 28

Great Psalm

1 I cry unto you, Lord, my Rock; do not be indifferent to me. If you remain silent, I will be like those who go down to the pit.

2 Hear my supplications when I cry to you for help, when I raise my hands to your most holy place.

3 Give me not the punishment reserved for the wicked and the evildoers, who speak as friends with their neighbors, but harbor evil in their hearts.

4 Repay them according to their deeds, according to their evil deeds; give them back what their hands have done and give them what they deserve.

5 Since they do not consider the deeds of the Lord or the works of His hands, He will destroy them and never let them rise again.

6 Blessed be the LORD, for he has heard my supplications.

7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I receive help from him. My heart rejoices with joy, and with my song I will give thanks.

8 The Lord is the strength of his people, the fortress that saves his anointed.

9 Save your people and bless your inheritance! Take care of them like your shepherd and lead them forever.
