Saint Nivruttinath was born

The year of birth of Nivruttinath is said to be 1273 or 1268. Nivruttinath was the eldest of four siblings namely Dnyaneshwar, Sopandev Muktai and Nivruttinath. Nivruttinath was the guru of Dnyaneshwar. Nivruttinath ordered Dnyaneshwar to write the Gita in Sanskrit in words that the common people would understand. Similarly, Dnyaneshwar wrote Bhavarthadeepika (Dnyaneshwari).

Gaininath or Gahininath was the guru of Nivruttinath. ‘Krishna is the goal of retirement. Gayininathe soy dakhavili॥ ', is what Nivruttinatha has kept as one of his abhangas.

After the burial of Dnyaneshwar and Sopandev, Muktai renounced 'Annapani Sakal' and passed away, and soon after, Nivruttinath also placed Trimbakeshwari's body. His Samadhi is built there. Nivruttinath's death anniversary is on the senior pure Dwadashi.

Nivruttinath took care of Dnyandev, Sopandev and Muktabai with the love of his parents.

Nivruttinath has composed about four hundred Yogapar, Advaitapar and Krishnabhaktipar Abhang and one Haripath. Nivruttinath is also said to have written three books, Nivruttidevi, Nivruttisar and Uttargitatika; However they are unavailable. Nivruttinath's two manuscripts, 'Satik Bhagavad Gita' and 'Samadhi Bodh', are kept in the Shree Samarthvagdevata Mandir in Dhule.

After Dnyaneshwar and Sopandev were buried, Muktai gave up food and water and became an afterlife.

Life of Saint Nivruttinath

Saint Nivruttinath was the elder brother and guru of Saint Dnyaneshwar. Nivruttinath's father Vitthalpant came out of the house one day as Mana Ramena in the family and took the road directly to Kashi. Sadguru named Ramananda lived there. Vitthalpant took sannyasadiksha from him.

Later, on the orders of the Guru, Vitthalpant came to Alandis and started his life again. Later Vitthalpant had four children. First Nivruttinath, second Dnyaneshwar, third Sopandev and fourth Muktabai. They taught their children everything according to the customs of the time.

At that time, Vitthalpant along with his wife and children went to the hill behind Trimbakeshwar. There were thick forests on that mountain. A tiger came running up the hill. Everyone was shocked to see him. Vitthalpant fled with his wife and children. When they came out of the wilderness, their souls fell into the pot; But where is Nivruttinath! Despite many searches, Nivruttinath was not found. Seven days passed and on the eighth day Nivruttinath stood as Dutt. Everyone was very happy. They looked brighter. Vitthalpant asked, "Where have you been all these days?" Nivruttinath said, "Baba, while running away from the tiger, I entered a cave. There was a Swami sitting there. Even in that dark cave, I could see their radiance clearly. His name is Gahininath. He taught me yoga and said, "Now there are bald creatures in the world, make them happy."

Then came the children's munji time. Vitthalpant came to Alandi with them to make Munj; But the cruel people of Alandi told him, "You have accepted Grihasthashram back from Sannyasa. You have no other atonement than death atonement. Only if you take it will the children be saved. ” Hearing this answer, Vitthalpant went home. Seeing that the children were fast asleep, Vitthalpant and Rukminibai said goodbye to their home. They went directly to Prayag and took Jalasamadhi in the Ganges.

When the children woke up the next morning, they found that their parents had left home. The canopy over their heads disappeared. All the burden fell on Nivruttinath. Nivruttinath took care of Dnyandev, Sopandev and Muktabai with the love of their parents

Sant Nivruttinath Samadhi Temple - Shri Kshetra Trimbakeshwar - Dnyandev-Sopan - Muktai Sanjivan Samadhi was held at Trimbakeshwar on 17th June 1297 on this day. Samadhivar etc. C. A stone temple was built in 1812. In the original temple, there is a Samadhi of Nivruttinath and behind it are idols of Vitthal Rakhumai. The Brahmagiri at Trimbakeshwar is at the very foot of the mountain.
