About Surah Yasin: Yaseen (Arabic: يٰسٓ) is the 36th chapter of the Qur'aan with 83 Aayat, and is one of the Meccan suras, although some scholars maintain that verse 12 is from the Madinan period. The name of the chapter comes from the two letters of the first verse of the chapter.

It has been proposed that Surah Ya Seen is the "heart of the Qur'aan." This comes from the idea that everything as well as in the Hereafter.
