According to language, aurat means shame, disgrace, and bad. The word aurat comes from the word awira which means lost feeling. If it is used for the eyes, it loses its light and disappears. In general, this word gives meaning that is not good to look at, embarrassing and disappointing.

According to the terms in Islamic law, aurat is the minimal boundary of the body part that must be covered by the command of Allah.
