Tihai Shastra Lite

Learn, Play and Compose Tihai for tabla, hindustani vocal and kathak

Tihai Shatra Lite is the feature limited, free version of TihaiShatra - an app to compose and play tihai, a polyrhythmic phrase typically used to conclude a piece in hindustani music. A Tihai composition consists of a pala (with or without pause or gap) which is repeated three times and lands on the sum or start of the taal. The app can be used for kathak / tabla / hindustani vocal singing practice.

Some of the key features and restrictions in the lite version are

★ Only TinTal is supported while the full version supports 15 different tals

★ The laya of pala bols is limited to ek-gun and do-gun

★ Guide works only for starting matra of tihai less than 5th matra and length of tihai is limited to one avartan

★ 'Add to library' feature is disabled

★ Tabla bols are restricted

★ Ad-supported version
