Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism. Gurbani means the speech of the Gurus.

Gurbani is composed of two words: 'Gur' and 'Bani'. Gur has multiple meanings depending on context.

In Guru Granth Sahib, Gur is used for multiple meanings, as per context of hymn.

The common use of Gur is either for wisdom and internal conscious mind (referred to as Chitta or Antar Atma).

We created this app in hindi because there is very less information available in hindi about Sikh and Sikhisim.

The Nit-Nem bani's usually include the Panj bania (5 bani's below) which are read daily by baptised Sikhs in the morning between 3:00 am and 6:00 am (this period is considered as Amrit Vela or the Ambrosial Hours) and Rehras Sahib in the evening 6pm and Kirtan Sohila at night 9pm
