Mi AI Translate is an AI translation app developed by Xiaomi for its mobile devices. It has two basic functionalities: to communicate with people who speak another language and to get subtitles intelligently even in videos and apps that don't support this function.

The first and most useful feature of Mi AI Translate is AI Interpreter, which will turn your smartphone into an interpreter. You can set either the vertical mode, where you have two buttons at the bottom of the screen, or the face-to-face mode where the buttons are at opposite ends of the screen for when people are sat facing each other. Whenever you want to speak, just choose your language and tap the microphone button. As you speak, the app will translate what you say in real-time for the other person to see. If you don't know what language the other person is speaking, you can select the "recognize language" feature and it will automatically detect the language being spoken.

Mi AI Translate is also capable of interpreting calls or online meetings, so you can hear real-time translations of your meetings, which is ideal if you're interacting with people in different languages.

Mi AI Translate also has a useful feature that generates subtitles for any video. You can choose either the system audio or your device's microphone as the audio source, and you can also select the source language and the language into which you want the content to be translated. As for text, you can customize text size or add a shortcut to the home screen for handy access. With Mi AI Translate, you can also generate intelligent summaries of content so that you don't have to listen to the entire thing, such as audios from messaging apps.

As it is a system app for Xiaomi devices, you must have a Xiaomi mobile device. If you don't, you won't be able to use its features since the app uses elements of the HyperOS framework to work.
