The story is good and starts out following the anime, but only up to the first floor boss. After that you will probably be very tempted to start skipping it. You are treated to long bits of story so often it'll really drain you whenever you have to talk to an npc to complete a quest. Even the game is annoyed by it since I always had to reconnect to the game after each story bit.
The load times are rough! It's not too bad unless you are trying to do the event quests back to back, however it is still a place where they really need to spend some effort fixing. The game does run very well when the loading is done.
This is second game I've played that doesn't seem to expect players to spend money (The other being SAO: Memory Defrag) as the premium currency is expensive and the amount you need far exceeds the usefulness of what you get randomly in return. I am playing as an axe user but since I've started playing there has only been one weapon banner at a time and not one of them has been for axes. I don't want to use the weapons that are on the banner so why would I spend money on them? A simple fix for this would be to have multiple banners at a time or even just a standard pool for generic cards usable by multiple/all weapon types.
One thing I really have to put here is this game has no energy system. This is a great change of pace since it doesn't make me feel like I have to be logged on every hour of every day or feel like I am falling behind or wasting energy.
