Great little app on my Amazon Prime TV (Fire HD TV stick) with the one star caveat that it hangs after watching for a while (no direct correlation to data transferred, cache used etc.) and often when the programme changes, which requires pressing the triple bar command on the remote, clean cache and browsing history then refresh the stream - this works 9/10 times (the other 1/10 it will refuse to reconnect altogether - as I use the USA feed for CNN, I can generally tie that to when domestic load is highest). The only other quibble, and as I'm mostly listening rather than watching it is only minor to me, your view may vary, is that picture quality isn't HD (that's a paid option) and can range from fuzzy to crystal clear.
Altogether though, if you're a viewer from outside the US and want the full CNN news experience which is vastly different and more extended than the European offering (ditto with Fox and CNBC news - the app has feeds from all 3), this is the best I've found and is far superior to the native apps provided by those channels.
- Jez: A small update to this review: I tried to download and install the LiveNewsON app to my Amazon Fire stick and regret to report that it failed ingloriously! It mattered not whether using the Google App Store (with the general kerfuffle of the Play Store app - which didn't bother not installing, it just disappeared from download options, a novel way of admitting it's junk but confusing), installing Downloader, APKpure and trying for sideloading or using a Fire stick purpose built variation of APKpure (the name of which, I'm ashamed to admit, has slipped my mind). It resolutely refuses to load the stand alone, as opposed to in-browser, all for me. A shame but no real hardship, was just looking to save a little time - Silk browser opens the last site you were browsing when fired up (pun intended ). In the words of Sir Michael Caine "Not a lot of people know that" .
