Cancer Guide is a bilingual Cancer App (Odia & English), designed & developed by UMEEDEIN, an organization working for the cause of cancer.

Cancer Guide will provide information to people which can be accessed with a very low end android smart phone (Android version 4.0 and above) without any network (once downloaded).

The prime purpose of this App is to:

• Provide information about various aspects of cancer viz., symptoms, myths, etc. for guiding people to reach appropriate hospital during early curable stages.

• Provide information about cancer treatment facilities available in various hospitals of Odisha.

• Provide information about charges for various diagnostic tests and treatment related to cancer.

• Provide information about available financial schemes of central and state governments.

• Provide information about ideal chart for cancer patients.

This App would be predominantly used by the people of Odisha and would aid in acquiring knowledge over various treatment options available in their vicinity.

The expected outcomes of this App:

• Facilitate people to approach hospitals in early curable stages and thereby reducing their treatment cost and increasing survival chances.

• Minimize the delay in treatment of cancer patients who are unaware about the available facilities for cancer treatment in nearby hospitals.

• Facilitate people in proper utilization of their hard earned money for treatment and avoid situations where they would otherwise end up getting exhausted financially due to ignorance about the available facilities for cancer treatment in the hospitals.

• Facilitate people in availing various financial schemes of central and state governments, insurance bodies, NGOs, etc.
