Fun facts: Tadpoles are sometimes called "pollywogs". A tadpole is the larval stage of a frog or toad. Tadpoles first grow arms and then legs before crawling onto land. Then they become adult frogs. Female frogs lay frogspawn and the cycle carries on again! Tadpoles can often be found in garden ponds. Frogs and toads are amphibians. Toads are the same as frogs except they generally have drier skin.
