Trees make our cities and villages really worth living in. They delight the eyes and heart, you can lean on them, they provide shade and fresh air. But they are also threatened. Drought, diseases and much more cause problems for them. Tree felling is the result.

Collect data about the trees where you live: This way you can better care for and protect them.

Get active together with others and take part in tree protection campaigns.

In this way, together we create awareness of the trees in our surroundings. This is important because trees in towns and on streets often have a hard life: they starve between concrete, asphalt and traffic, and due to the climate crisis, heat and thirst make them even more difficult. They are often cut down recklessly.

Trees are the lungs of our cities and treasure chests of biodiversity. They are good for us and provide a home for many birds, insects and mammals, such as squirrels.

We want to give the trees a voice together. To do this, we need to learn more about the trees in our cities and villages. Because the more we know about them, the better we can protect them. Together with you, we want to find out where there are trees, what kind of trees they are and what their condition is. No previous knowledge is necessary!

Over time, a map of all city trees in Bavaria will be created. If a tree needs help, it is much easier to organize it. And if necessary, we can show how many people support their trees, so that fewer trees are felled and more care is taken for them.
