PRODUCT EXPLORER (PEX) is a mobile application for the brand protection of companies exporting their products around the world. As the Verify Platform's mobile companion application, PEX enables product search to validate its authenticity and ensure that a company's products sold in the marketplace are not counterfeit.

In order to use PEX, you must first be an OPTEL client and have a Verify Platform. Based on the data entered and acquired by the Verify Platform, the Verify Platform acts as the database for the PEX mobile application. Thus, OPTEL client’s can acquire PEX as a mobile companion application which, following a search, displays the data found in connection with this search.

The use of PEX is reserved for Field Investigators, which are employees of an OPTEL client. Their role is to investigate the company’s product everywhere in the world in order to ensure that products sold are authentic.

How PEX works?

Once they have entered their access code, Field Investigators can search for a product by entering the unique product code or by scanning the QR code located directly on this item.

Once the search is launched, the mobile application confirms to the Field Investigator that this item is authentic by displaying the product details page.

If the product is not known, the Field Investigator is then redirected to a page stating that the item searched is unknown and could be counterfeit.
