SEBASTIEN supports intelligent livestock breeding and management

SEBASTIEN is an app that supports the intelligent breeding and management of livestock, reducing risks and seizing the opportunities posed by climate change and its variability, as well as other environmental stress factors and concomitant anthropic pressures.

The application will provide four main services:

Service 1: Address environmental stress factors to support breeding towards the adaptation of breeds to environmental conditions and production needs.

Service 2: For intensive farming risk management in extreme climate conditions to alert in case of imminent or predicted dangerous environmental conditions for livestock.

Service 3: Management of extensive breeding and feed availability based on indicators/indexes on the phenological state and greening of naturally vegetated or managed areas used for feeding livestock led outdoors.

Service 4: Farms at risk for combined biotic and abiotic factors to provide updated maps of the risk of the spread of parasites and diseases.
