Ia mulai terkenal karena menempati posisi pertama di reality show K-pop Mnet Produce 101. Dia terkenal sebagai mantan anggota kelompok perempuan Korea Selatan yang sekarang sudah dibubarkan bernama IOI, dimana Kim Sejeong juga tergabung di grup tersebut.
