Un Buki Pa Lesa

JCI IOBA在Papiamentu的第一個數字閱讀書應用程序

The Project “Un Buki Pa Lesa” started back in 2016 as a gift to the community of Curacao at the celebration of the 35th years of existence of JCI Involvement of Banda Ariba (IOBA) Curacao. “Un Buki Pa Lesa” contributes to the development of education in Curacao in a SMART way. In the first face of the project (2016) the active young people of JCI IOBA Curacao joined forces and wrote small stories for children of primary school in our language Papiamento.

To make use of innovation and advanced technology, we choose to digitalize and animate the stories. In this way, they are accessible through smart devices. In the second face of the project, we developed the application which will be used to read the stories through smart devices (2016 – 2018).

JCI IOBA Curacao is proud to have entered the last face of this project, which gives our children access to the application (2019). Our goal is to encourage our children to read stories in their own language and keep on developing their abilities to understand the language. We also wish for the stories to help broaden the children’s development in general.
