Breast cancer mortality

A scoring system to predict breast cancer mortality within 5 and 10 years

This mobile App is a medical calculator indicating the likelihood that a patient diagnosed with breast cancer will die due to the cancer in five or ten years.

To calculate this likelihood we need to know the following patient parameters at the time of diagnosis: age, TNM stage, multicentricity, grade and personal history of breast cancer.

To give this likelihood the App will calculate a total score based on the risk afforded by the above parameters. A patient will have a greater risk of death if that patient is older, has a higher grade and stage, and there exists a personal history of breast cancer or multicentricity.

According to the score obtained the patient will have a probability associated with death.

If a patient has a high probability of death, special emphasis should be placed on the follow-up.
