The Problem

For every conscious parent, raising a healthy, disease-free baby, a happy child is the ultimate goal.

Although she puts forth her best effort, she sometimes goes overboard as well.

If a new parent knows she doesn't have much experience with the skills required to do this, she starts looking for information anywhere and everywhere.

She becomes guided and mentored by Google (Google-baba) and social media.

Since she is aware that some information may not be trustworthy, she explores as many reliable resources as possible. Finding one is purely a matter of luck for her.

Unless she finds a mentor (she never determines whether or not she has found the right one yet), she feels overwhelmed with the information overload from the internet, social media, and free advice from friends and family.

Her family doctors (both her Obstetrician and Paediatrician) do not provide her with the guidance and support she needs. Those who do good work keep very busy, so I can't blame them.

Thus, she has to rely on her own doubts, myths, advice from parents and family, half-baked tips from new-age (so-called knowledgeable) friends and some people on social media (whose numbers have gone up due to Covid pandemic).

The simple wish of raising a disease-free and healthy baby into a happy child can be challenging.

Either the new mother or father overreacts and gets paranoid and calls her doctors for help due to poor guidance and mentoring in our social setup or she is left ignorant towards the baby's health.

Both of these events lead her down a path that gradually distances her from her goal of raising a healthy and disease-free child.

Now what?

Since 1995, I have worked closely with parents as a paediatrician. As a doctor, I have witnessed these parents' struggle day in and day out, so I can trust that my observations are honest and accurate.

If the parents of the ’60s were in the category of taking things easy and naturally, facing the challenges as they come, the parents of this millennium are overexcited to perform at full throttle. They want to do their best and it turned to get over-anxious, stressed and sometimes actually mess up things.

My heart goes out to them. Furthermore, if you are a new parent I am really eager to assist you.

The solution:

Today, a new parent needs to follow a balanced approach. To achieve this balance, she needs someone to mentor her who has the knowledge, expertise, and experience necessary to keep things simple and straight.

Ultimately, this person must be someone who can push the parents forward while also holding their hands through this challenge to raise a disease-free baby.

Think how much support a new parent would get from someone with paediatric expertise when she is stuck in medical dilemmas about her infant.

Concept of CDI

In order to help parents raise healthy, disease-free children, and take into consideration the needs of the new parent, I developed the CDI system.

C - Clarity about baby's health - The program aims to educate the new parents about the concepts and basics of their baby's health, dispelling myths based on ignorance and empowering them with greater health knowledge.

After the parent understands the basics, the next step is to prepare her by educating her on how to implement a good D - diet for the baby to maintain good nutritional status and build strong I - immunity to fight infections in the future.

My mission is to train and empower one hundred thousand new parents to raise happy, healthy, disease-free babies and children using my CDI system.
