This will provide EIL Employees with 24x7 access to information On-The-Go

In this emerging world of technology, gadgets are becoming smaller, better, and portable. Today, is the world where we do not need wait for the office to come, for sending a mail, or a plane to land, for reading news. So to cope up with the technological advances, EIL has taken its first initiative to provide its employees with an application, “EIL Android Apps”, which will be installed in hand held devices, thereby, providing a 24x7 access to information. This application can be accessed through authorized login only. This Android based application will provide EIL users with a customized view of the ‘EIL Connect’ named ‘EIL Connect Lite’, a customized email application named ‘EIL Mail Lite’ to access EIL email account through Android mobile, and , a customized view of Site Query name as 'SQ Lite' for catalyzing the process of query resolution.

The application will therefore enable EIL users with following features:

EIL Connect Lite

--> Viewing latest corporate news and corporate events including user comments.

--> Viewing what’s new section of EIL Connect

--> Providing useful information to employees like employee contact details, birthday, nominated hospitals, emergency contacts, holiday list etc. including in built search facilities.

--> Viewing director’s messages

EIL Mail Lite

--> Accessing EIL email account for new/unread emails and attachments.

--> Sending emails with email address searching facility.

--> Composing new mail, forwarding and replying of received emails.

SQ Lite

--> Registering a new Query

--> Viewing registered Query

--> Site Query Knowledge Database for reuse of tacit knowledge
