Thomas Sowell (born June 30, 1930) is an American economist and social theorist who is currently Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University.He dropped out of high school and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. In 1968, he earned his doctorate in economics from the University of Chicago.
