Wycliff Tugume better known by his stage name YKEE BENDA is a multi-award winning African singer, songwriter and producer from Uganda, his musical style is diverse and includes Afrobeats, Pop, Dancehall, R&B, Reggae among others. He began his music career in 2015 and has quickly risen to fame. Benda is signed to his record label Mpaka Records of which he is CEO.

In December 2017 Benda released his debut album entitled “Kireka Boy” which is available now on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Deezer and Spotify.

Ykee Benda is the seventh born in a family of eight and grew up in Kireka, Kampala. Ykee began singing in church at a young age, his love and passion for music grew while at University in Algeria, where he graduated with a first class degree in Chemical Engineering. At uni is where he started by doing covers of different kinds of music while learning song writing and vocal training. Upon his graduation and return home to Uganda he launched his music career. Benda also loves football and is a diehard Arsenal fan.
