Support people with intellectual disabilities to learn self-decision-making skills and improve their career planning skills

The "Myself, I Dominate" learning app was planned by Dr. Wong King-sui of the Department of Social Work, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and his research team. People with intellectual disabilities were invited to co-create during the design and production process. The content refers to the "Myself, I Dominate" learning app to improve the performance of people with intellectual disabilities. The activity elements in the self-decision group assist social workers, special education teachers and parents in supporting people with intellectual disabilities to learn self-decision-making skills such as setting personal goals, formulating action plans and evaluating their own practical progress, thereby improving their quality of life planning.

This learning application is supported by the Knowledge Transfer Fund of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and funded by the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund. Answer: This learning application can be used in different service situations, such as setting personal work goals with users in the workplace, personal growth/life planning courses in schools, and establishing good personal habits among parents and children, etc. Social workers and special education teachers can also use this learning app to coordinate with the activities of the "Myself, I Lead" self-decision-making improvement group, or in casework to help people with intellectual disabilities learn self-decision-making skills.
