About Al-Mathurat

Zikir Al-Mathurat

Al Ma'tsurat is a small book of prayer groups compiled by Al Imam Hasan Al Banna Rahimahullah which contains prayers that come from Al Quran and As Sunnah. It is said, in the era of modern publishing, compared to the same book, Al Ma'tsurat is the most widely circulated book in the Muslim world and the largest number of its copies by repeated printing.

Long before Al Ma'tsurat, there are books of the same sort that are organized by the scholars; such as Al Adzkar by Imam An Nawawi and Kalimatuth Thayyibah by Imam Ibn Taimiyah. These two books are the main references to Al Ustadz Hasan Al Banna in compiling Al Ma'tsurat as Al 'Allamah Asy Shaykh Yusuf Al Qaradhawi Hafizhahullah Ta'ala.

In Al Ma'tsurat, in fact Al Ustadz Hasan Al Banna Rahimahullah contains very much and complete, not as circulated in a society better known as wazhifah sughra and wazhifah kubra. In it he made five discussions:

Qismul Awwal (first part), Al Ustadz Al Banna titled Al Wazhiifah, which contains wirid morning and evening that comes from Al Quran and As Sunnah. This is generally circulated and people know and call it Al Ma'tsurat. And, this is our discussion of this book.

Qismuts Tsaani (second part), entitled Al Wirdul Qur'aniy (wirid Al Quran), which contains wirid-wirid comes from the selected verses from the Quran.

Qismuts Tsaalits (third part), entitled Ad'iyah Al Yaum wal Lailah (daily prayers of day and night), such as prayer waking up, dressing and others.

Qismur Raabi ', (fourth part) entitled Al Ad'iyah Al Ma'tsurah fi Haalat Mukhtalifah (prayer prayers in various circumstances).

The fifth part is Wirdul Ikhwan (wirid Al Ikhwan), namely wirid-wirid ma'tsur which is recommended to be read by activists Al Ikhwan Al Muslimun. Inside there is a rabbi prayer, he is not a prayer ma'tsur but composed by Al Ustadz Hasan Al Banna himself, then let no one be deceived.

Any arrangement he made does not mean that it is a standard, and he never said so. Anyone can read it in an order that is not the same as Al Ma'tsurat. We need to emphasize that there will be no allegations against Al Ustadz Al Banna that he deliberately made a private wirid sequence, thereby losing the bid'ah verdict against him.

On the other hand, about the degree of hadith that advocates the Qur'anic wirid and also some dzikir of the hadith in Al Ma'tsurat, there are some who are deaf, munkar, and even maudhu '(false). Despite the fact that he was still in disagreement with the hadith experts. However, there are not many and ulama before Al Ustadz Hasan Al Banna has done so, and we judge it as a human error. It is exaggerated if anyone thinks that the hadiths hadith is deliberately made by the author with a bad intention of religious purity. Haihaata haata .... (it's far from that).

Furthermore, most scholars have been able to use the hadith of dhaif for the affairs of fadha'ilul a'mal, and the stimulus affair for reading this and that of prayer and dzikir is part of fadha'ilul a'mal. Even Imam An Nawawi claimed to have agreed upon his abilities, and that abilities must be with the conditions. The truth is that this is a disagreement, not a deal. Nevertheless, using a true history is more important and safer to practice.
