Salmo 75

Great Psalm

1 We thank thee, O God, we thank thee, for thy name is near; everyone speaks of your wonderful deeds.

2 You say: “I determine the time when I will judge with justice.

3 When the earth trembles with all its inhabitants, it is I who keep its pillars firm.

4 To the arrogant I say: Stop boasting! And to the wicked: Do not rebel!

5 Do not rebel against the heavens; do not speak insolently”.

6 It is not from the east or the west or the desert that exaltation comes.

7 It is God who judges: Humiliate one, exalt another.

8 In the hand of the Lord is a cup filled with sparkling wine mixed with it; he pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth drink it to the last drop.

9 As for me, I will proclaim these things forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 I will destroy the power of all the wicked, but the power of the righteous will increase.
