iCanThrive guides you through a variety of skills that can change the way you think and feel through brief and interactive exercises. The exercises are based on proven techniques in psychology and cognitive behavioral therapy. Each type of exercise can be completed in a matter of minutes. The app contains easy-to-follow exercises on:

o Challenging negative thoughts
o Living a value-driven life
o Problem solving
o Savoring positive experiences
o Reducing worry
o Breathing relaxation
o Identifying emotions
iCanThrive also contains useful information, links, and online resources for cancer survivors. There is an anonymous forum for users to connect with other cancer survivors in the research study.
The iCanThrive app was created for a University of Virginia research study examining the impact of a mobile intervention for managing mood in cancer survivors. This study was approved by the University of Virginia Institutional Review Board for Health Sciences Research (#20648).
