Alert against unsafe food and products + food signaling function

The consumer protection app has been a companion for consumers in Bavaria for over 10 years, and above all has been a reliable warning about foods and products that do not meet legal requirements and have been recalled by the manufacturer.

The current app will soon be deactivated.

My report – take action yourself

Consumers can also use this app to become active themselves and report unsafe foods to the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety in just 4 steps using an integrated reporting function. From there, the report is forwarded to the responsible district administrative authority (district office or independent city).

Information and advice

In addition, this app provides information about the 7 most important rules for food hygiene, provides information on food labeling and recommended quality seals. It offers daily reports on many consumer questions.

The Bavarian Consumer Center and the Bavarian Consumer Service offer users free advice via telephone or email.

Cooperation partner

For the food warnings

The StMUV cooperates with the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) in Berlin. Within the meaning of Section 40 of the Food and Feed Code, this usually concerns information from the responsible authorities or a withdrawal or recall campaign by the food business operator.

The Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection cooperates with the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) for product warnings. In accordance with the Product Safety Act (ProdSG), citizens are warned and informed about the safety and health risks of commercially available products.
