Which then came out of the rivers at night to scrub their green hair, and if they met a man, then he would lust him to himself, and then climb to death. Our ancestors, by the way, were treated with great respect and trepidation to the image of a mermaid, as patrons of vegetation and harvest. Considered her as a symbol of rivers and forests, she brought good luck and grief.
