An application for mobile devices for children to learn the Aymara language
It is an application for cell phones and tablets (Android Operating System) for children from 3 to 5 years old to learn through images and sounds the basic contents about the alphabet, numbers, family, colors, parts of the human body, animals, fruits and basic expressions in Aymara language.
This app is aimed at serving as instruments to strengthen and promote linguistic revitalization processes that arise with the new generations.
The Aymara people have been characterized by their ability to recreate and adapt their culture to the profound political and social changes that have occurred since the Colony. A reflection of this is the persistence of certain practices and institutions that retain traits of their pre-Hispanic origin. Undoubtedly, the language is the most outstanding distinctive characteristic of this sector of the Peruvian population, which links them to each other and is the primary source of a different identity from the rest of the national society. The Aymara population has historically settled in areas of three bordering countries: Peru, Bolivia and Chile. In our country, the Aymara population is found mainly in six provinces of the department of Puno and in some rural districts of the departments of Moquegua and Tacna. However, the migratory process of the rural population that began in the mid-twentieth century has led to the existence of a significant number of Aymara population in large cities such as Lima, Arequipa or Tacna.
