Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

therapy (CBT), as we can see from the name, combines work with thoughts (cognitions) and human behavior. The basic idea is that the causes of our problems often lie in thinking errors, our automatic thoughts that lead to ineffective behavior.

The focus of the CBT is on the human consciousness, his thoughts and beliefs.

Our emotional state is connected with how we perceive situations, what thoughts accompany this process. The same situations will cause different reactions in different people. With stress, depression, severe anxiety, gloomy thoughts are activated in a person, which affect the emotional state and behavior. KBT

helps people pay attention to negative thoughts in time and assess how they relate to reality.

People have two ways of processing information, the so-called "emotional brain" (EM) and "rational brain" (RM). When an event / situation happens to us, the Emotional Brain is first triggered and it triggers our automatic thought (AM), which influences the appearance of emotion and triggers our behavior. If you schematically depict the model, then it looks like this:

"Situation - automatic thought - emotion - behavior", this model is called the A-B-C-D model, based on this model, the work takes place.

We can strengthen our rational brain to make more conscious and informed decisions, to choose our own behavior.

One of the tasks of CBT is to learn how to identify automatic thoughts, notice their influence, work with them using certain techniques, test these thoughts for realism, detect and change maladaptive beliefs and find effective behavior.

This application includes several functions: keeping a diary of automatic thoughts, as well as several techniques for working with them.

The app does not replace working with a cognitive-behavioral therapist, but helps to practice the skills of noticing and reformulating automatic thoughts.
